Who we're looking for: We are on the lookout for a passionate and experienced leader to spearhead the Zendesk for Startups initiative in the India region. This role is designed for someone who thrives in the startup ecosystem and is eager to help emerging businesses scale by leveraging Zendesk's innovative products. You will be instrumental in fostering relationships with founders and venture capitalists, making you a vital part of our mission to enhance customer experiences for startups. What you'll be doing: Build Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate and maintain relationships with venture capital firms, accelerators, and other key players in the startup ecosystem to promote Zendesk products among their portfolio companies. Organize office hours, events, and initiatives that provide value to founders and their communities. Drive Marketing Initiatives: Develop and execute creative marketing campaigns aimed at increasing startup adoption of Zendesk. This includes identifying opportunities to engage potential customers and showcasing the benefits of our solutions. Support Startups: Act as a trusted advisor to startups throughout their decision-making process, addressing inquiries regarding product features, pricing, and the overall value proposition of Zendesk. Collaborate Internally: Work closely with internal teams to ensure the successful execution of marketing initiatives and to align resources effectively with regional goals. Shape Growth Strategy: Contribute to defining the growth strategy for the India region, identifying key opportunities for expansion and leading efforts to recruit a high-performing team to implement this strategy. What you bring to the role: Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in a customer or partner-facing role, preferably in the tech or startup sector, with a proven track record of driving results. Startup Ecosystem Knowledge: Strong familiarity with the regional startup landscape, including key players, emerging trends, and the challenges startups face as they grow. Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to measure the impact of marketing programs and initiatives, using data to inform strategies and decisions. Self-Starter Attitude: A proactive and independent mindset, comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment where adaptability is essential. Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with experience in presenting complex business concepts clearly and effectively. Nice to haves: Expertise in managing customer support and/or sales teams. Experience with implementing and configuring Zendesk or similar platforms. Background as a founder or experience working in an accelerator or venture capital firm.
