Job Title: SMS Electrical Engineer / Sr. Engineer Location: Gandhidham, Gujarat Salary: ₹65,000 per month Experience Required: Minimum 4 years (Steel Industry mandatory) Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SMS Electrical Engineer to join a reputed steel manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in electrical maintenance and operations within a Steel Melting Shop (SMS) environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems in SMS. Ensure smooth operation of furnaces, cranes, and auxiliary electrical systems. Monitor and troubleshoot electrical faults in PLC, drives, and motor control systems. Coordinate with the production team to minimize downtime. Maintain electrical safety standards as per industrial norms. Document maintenance activities and generate reports. Participate in energy-saving initiatives and electrical system upgrades. Key Skills & Competencies: Hands-on experience with SMS electrical systems. Sound knowledge of HT/LT panels, transformers, and control systems. Familiar with automation (PLC/SCADA) and electrical drawings. Good understanding of industrial safety and energy efficiency standards. Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical skills. Eligibility Criteria: Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 4 years of experience in a steel manufacturing environment is mandatory. Immediate joiners or those with short notice periods will be preferred.
