osition Overview: The QAQC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that construction projects comply with all quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. This position involves overseeing the quality control processes, conducting inspections, managing testing procedures, and ensuring that materials, workmanship, and procedures adhere to the project specifications and industry best practices. The QAQC Engineer works closely with project teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues and ensures the delivery of high-quality work within time and budget constraints.Key Responsibilities:Quality Assurance and Control: Develop and implement quality management systems, ensuring compliance with local regulations, project specifications, and industry standards. Review construction plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure that quality standards are met. Inspect materials, workmanship, and construction processes to confirm conformity with specified quality standards.Testing and Inspection: Coordinate and supervise testing procedures for materials, soil, concrete, and other construction elements. Perform inspections on-site to ensure construction processes are following the established standards. Ensure proper documentation of testing results, inspection reports, and quality audits.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and non-conformances. Prepare and present quality control reports and analysis to management and project stakeholders. Identify and report any discrepancies or issues with the construction process or materials.Quality Control Systems: Review and monitor project-specific quality control plans, ensuring all procedures align with the contract specifications and industry standards. Assist in developing corrective and preventive action plans to address quality issues. Work with suppliers to ensure that materials used in construction meet the required quality standards.Continous Improvement: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the construction phase. Provide guidance and support to the construction team on quality-related matters. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in QAQC in civil engineering or construction projects. Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards and civil engineering processes. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Experience with material testing methods, inspection processes, and non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques. Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills:Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects. Familiarity with construction management software and tools. Work Environment: This role typically requires both office and field work. The QAQC Engineer will need to be present on construction sites to conduct inspections and perform testing procedures, ensuring that all project activities meet quality standards.Additional Notes:Travel may be required depending on project location.
