Job Description

Role & responsibilities Supply Chain Strategy Development: Develop and implement long-term supply chain strategies that align with the organizations goals and objectives. Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance. Logistics and Distribution Management: Oversee transportation, warehousing, and inventory management to ensure efficient and cost-effective distribution of products. Demand Planning and Forecasting: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels while minimizing stockouts or overstocking. Cost Optimization: Analyze supply chain processes and identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance profitability. Risk Management: Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions. Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain efficiency, and implement corrective actions when necessary. Collaboration and Communication: Serve as a liaison between various internal departments and external suppliers, ensuring clear communication and alignment with business objectives. Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the supply chain through the implementation of lean principles, technology, and innovation. Preferred candidate profile Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA is a plus). Experience: 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, including at least 2 years in a strategic role, preferably within a global or large-scale organization. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and decision-making abilities. Leadership: Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Supply Chain Tools & Software: Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Excel) and familiarity with ERP systems. Project Management: Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously. Knowledge of Industry Trends: Understanding of global supply chain trends, logistics best practices, and industry standards. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
