Job Description

As a Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and analysis of structures, ensuring they are safe, stable, and sustainable. Your expertise will contribute to a variety of projects, from residential buildings to large-scale infrastructure, where you will apply your knowledge of structural principles and materials. You will be responsible for conducting detailed structural calculations and analyses, utilizing advanced software tools to simulate and predict structural behavior under various conditions. Collaboration with architects, contractors, and other engineers will be essential to ensure that designs meet both aesthetic and functional requirements. Ultimately, your work will help create resilient structures that enhance the built environment and serve the community effectively. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification. Proven experience in structural design and analysis, particularly in reinforced concrete and steel structures. Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in Structural Engineering or a related field. Experience with advanced structural analysis software and tools. Familiarity with international building codes and standards. Responsibilities: Conduct structural analysis and design for various projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Prepare detailed structural calculations and reports to support design decisions and project proposals. Utilize software tools such as STAAD and Finite Element Analysis to model and analyze structural systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs with architectural and civil engineering plans. Review and approve shop drawings and construction documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to design specifications. Responsible to review the Project requirements both from Power plant and Engineering standpoints to recognize the ideal tracker configuration. Engage with sales and customers to demonstrate the FTC products to ensure the right options are picked for the project. Responsible for estimating loading conditions - Dead load, Snow load, Live load, Wind load, and Seismic load. Also associated micro level assessment such as Temperature, Fatigue, etc., Perform Wind pressure calculations for structures using ASCE 7, IS 875, EC1 & AS/NZ or any other country-specific standards. Perform Static and Dynamic analysis of the tracker and components. Detailed connection design bolted, welded, riveted as per IS800, IS875, ASCE, ACI and AISI. Developing tools through Excel, VBA, Python Responsible for working with the local team to conduct value engineering exercises to lower costs. Involved in coordinating with NEXTrackers Structural/Civil Engineers/Designers in other regions to create and update new product standards, design changes, and project-related issues Will provide construction support; RFIs and submittals Skills: The required skills in structural analysis and design are essential for evaluating the integrity and safety of structures. Proficiency in software like STAAD and Finite Element Analysis allows you to create accurate models that predict how structures will behave under various loads. Your ability to perform structural calculations ensures that designs meet safety standards and are cost-effective. Additionally, skills in preparing shop drawings are crucial for communicating design intent to construction teams. Preferred skills, such as advanced software knowledge, enhance your capability to tackle complex engineering challenges and contribute to innovative design solutions.
