Role & responsibilities Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Management Engineer to manage our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sourcing components and materials essential for our manufacturing operations, with a deep understanding of machined parts, castings, and forgings. Key Responsibilities: Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers of materials and components. Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to secure the best prices and delivery timelines. Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. Continuously analyze market trends to optimize purchasing decisions. Order Management: Place purchase orders and monitor order progress to ensure timely delivery. Coordinate with production and inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that all procured materials meet the required specifications and standards. Address and resolve any quality issues with suppliers. Cost Management: Analyze cost structures and implement cost-saving initiatives. Prepare reports on procurement expenditures and savings achieved. Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing teams to understand requirements and specifications. Participate in cross-functional teams to improve supplier performance and product quality. Preferred candidate profile Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management within the manufacturing sector. Strong understanding of machined parts, castings, and forgings. Proven negotiation skills and ability to build strong supplier relationships. Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
