Job Description

Key Result Areas and Activities: 1. Cloud Infrastructure Management: Ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of Tableau Cloud infrastructure. Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to enhance reliability and scalability. 2. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security protocols to protect data within Tableau. Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies. 3. Data Integration and Automation: Integrate Tableau with various cloud data sources. Automate ETL processes to streamline data flow and improve efficiency. 4. User Support and Training: Provide technical support to Tableau users, addressing issues related to cloud connectivity and data access. Conduct training sessions to enhance user proficiency with Tableau tools and features. 5. Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Regularly monitor the performance of Tableau dashboards and reports. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal user experience. Essential Skills: Tableau Administration: Proficiency in managing Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud, including installation, configuration, and maintenance. Security Management: Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance standards. Scripting and Automation: Ability to automate tasks using scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash. Experience in setting up different authentication types along with SSO on Tableau server and excellent troubleshooting capabilities not only for Tableau Server but also on the underlying infrastructure such as OS and Network Good knowledge of Tableau Metadata tables and experience in Tableau scripting (TABCMD and TABADMIN) Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with various teams. Good-to-have: Good knowledge of RDBMS and database technologies like SQL server, PostgreSQL Project Management: Ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Cloud Platforms: Basic understanding of database migration and configuration in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Identify automation opportunities and lead automation implementation. Perform server maintenance (backups, cleanups, updates, restores, etc.) Provide on-call support for Business Intelligence issues Identify improvement areas in Environment hosting and upgrade processes. Good knowledge of different Operating Systems like Windows, Linux, Unix, Refine and enhance the technical architecture to keep pace with changing business demands and new Tableau software releases. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud administration and Tableau management Bachelor s Degree: In Computer Science, Information Technology, or EE. Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Tableau Desktop Specialist, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
