Senior Manager Quality will be responsible for ensuring product quality, process control, and compliance with industry standards in a Cold Rolled Steel Service Center. This role involves leading quality assurance, inspection processes, and customer complaint resolution to maintain high-quality standards and enhance customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:Quality Assurance & Control:Establish and implement Quality Management Systems (QMS) as per ISO 9001/ IATF 16949.Monitor and control product quality, ensuring compliance with IS/ ASTM/ JIS/ EN standards.Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of cold-rolled and processed steel products.Implement and improve Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Six Sigma methodologies.Process Improvement & Compliance:Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for quality assurance.Identify and resolve quality deviations using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).Work closely with production and maintenance teams to improve process reliability.Conduct regular internal audits and support external audits by customers and certification bodies.Customer & Supplier Quality Management:Address customer complaints through effective resolution and preventive measures.Implement Customer Quality Assurance (CQA) programs for enhanced satisfaction.Develop and maintain supplier quality assessment systems to ensure raw material compliance.Testing & Laboratory Management:Oversee mechanical, chemical, and metallurgical testing of steel products.Maintain calibration and accuracy of testing equipment (UTM, hardness tester, spectrometer, etc.).Training & Team Management:Train and develop the Quality Control team on quality standards and best practices.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality consciousness.Qualifications & Experience:Education: B.E./B.Tech in Metallurgy, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.Experience: 10-12 years in Quality Management in a Steel Service Center/ Cold Rolling/ Sheet Metal Processing.Certifications (Preferred): ISO 9001, IATF 16949 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt).Key Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of Steel Grades, Coating, Slitting, and Shearing processes.Proficiency in SAP/QMS software and data analysis tools.
