**Roles and Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant** 1. **Academic Support:** - Assist the lead instructor in delivering lessons, tutorials, and practice sessions. - Help students understand concepts, clarify doubts, and solve academic problems. - Prepare additional learning materials, worksheets, and practice tests as per the instructor’s guidance. - Conduct revision sessions and one-on-one student interactions to reinforce learning. 2. **Classroom Management:** - Monitor student engagement during classes and ensure that the learning environment is conducive. - Assist in maintaining discipline and managing student queries during and after sessions. - Keep track of attendance, participation, and performance records. 3. **Student-Centric Guidance:** - Provide personalized support to students based on their individual learning needs. - Offer constructive feedback on assignments and exams, identifying areas for improvement. - Mentor students and provide motivation to help them stay on track with their academic goals. 4. **Administrative Assistance:** - Help organize and manage teaching schedules, lesson plans, and assessment timelines. - Support in grading assignments, exams, and homework under the supervision of the instructor. - Assist in the planning and coordination of academic events, tests, and examinations. 5. **Performance-Driven Approach:** - Actively contribute to improving students’ academic performance and outcomes by tracking their progress. - Collaborate with the lead instructor to identify underperforming students and suggest improvement strategies. - Participate in team meetings to discuss student performance and teaching strategies. 6. **Communication and Coordination:** - Act as a liaison between students and instructors, conveying important information, updates, or clarifications. - Maintain effective communication with students regarding academic progress and upcoming assignments. 7. **Professional Development:** - Stay updated on the latest teaching methods and curriculum trends relevant to the coaching institute’s programs. - Participate in training sessions and workshops to continuously improve teaching techniques and subject knowledge. **Basic Requirements:** - Minimum educational qualification: Graduate in any discipline. - Strong proficiency in English (both written and verbal communication). - Passion for teaching and mentoring students. - Performance-driven mindset with a focus on improving student outcomes. - Ability to adapt to different student learning styles and needs. - Basic understanding of the subject being taught at the coaching institute. - Organizational and time management skills.
