Job Overview : The Team Lead - IT Operations works as a member of the Enterprise Management Services team within IT Operations department at Fareportal. In this role, the Lead has below primary functions: • Excellent knowledge and hands on work experience on various monitoring tools utilize in the NOC/GCC domain. • Leading monitoring / tool automation to upscale the proactiveness and effectiveness, aligning with the teams effort and wider organization vision. • Understanding business requirement and leading the automations in parallel, collaborating with wider support teams. • Initiate emergency plan of action while understanding the criticality. • End to End enterprise monitoring and enhancement activities. • Provide Weekly/Monthly Metrics Data to management. • Maintain Contact List of various support teams and vendors. • Documentation for Process Improvement, Handbooks, Guidelines, Manuals, Knowledge Base Articles. • Work with a product-based startup mindset. This position will support 24x7 to be in Gurugram, India. The job will require the individual to work different shifts as assigned by the supervisor. Job Responsibilities: Hands-on working on open source tools and enterprise monitoring, i.e. ELK/Prometheus/Grafana/ MS SCOM/SolarWinds along with SAAS base monitoring solutions i.e. Rigor/Website pulse/Catchpoint etc. Design or architect, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures on the tools side. Dashboard creation and understanding on the tools metric. Should have hand on experience in integrating these monitoring sources or tools to single pain of glass or centralized dashboarding. Should have clear understanding on public cloud i.e. AWS and Azure, its monitoring solution, Datadog/CloudWatch/Appinsight etc. Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation. Strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills. Monitor performance, capacity, and availability of the IT components on an ongoing basis. Recommend improvements in technologies and practices to increase uptime. Collect and review performance reports for various systems, and report trends in Network, Server, Application & Websites performance. Conducts research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of monitoring tool and development efforts. Liaise with vendors for the procurement of new systems technologies, conduct POCs, oversee installation, and resolve adaptation issues. Ensures that effective EMS representation takes place for the coordination of work processes and projects with other departments and divisions. Required Skills & Qualifications: 6+ years experience in an Enterprise Monitoring Tools, Applications, Servers monitoring, setup and troubleshooting or similar role. Work experience on Windows Servers, SQL, Network equipment. Familiarity with scripting, network security, firewalls, Linux environment. Bachelors Degree/Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or technical discipline Microsoft/AWS/CCNA/ITSM certified. Strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills. Good Technical Skills in Networks, Firewalls, Servers. Good communicator with a natural aptitude for dealing with people. Prior experience with Team Management / Training / Mentoring / Multi team collaboration Preferred Skills & Qualifications: Aptitude for learning new technologies, interest in professional development. Should be a team player. Quick learner and able to deal with a wide range of issues. Good analytical skills and able to collate and interpret data from various sources. Ability to assess and prioritize faults and respond or escalate accordingly.
