Role & responsibilities Leading, managing, and mentoring a team of accountants and bookkeepers to ensure timely and accurate deliverables. * Conducting monthly reviews of accounts and ensuring compliance with US accounting standards. * Completing assigned work within deadlines while maintaining high levels of quality. Performing and overseeing. * Must be able to setup Account as per Balance Sheet & Profit & Loss Statement. * Must know Payroll entries & Payroll reconciliation. * Preparation and filing of 1099s, W-2s, 940s, and 941s. * Payroll filings and recording payroll transactions in accounting software. * Sales tax returns preparation and filing. * Asset schedules and depreciation schedules. * Review and approval of team members' work to ensure accuracy and compliance. * Handling end-to-end accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including: * Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management. * Bank Reconciliations, general ledger reviews, and adjustments. * Preparation of Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Financial Statements Preferred candidate profile Key Responsibilities: * Act as the primary point of contact for assigned US clients and ensure client satisfaction. * Ensure compliance with US GAAP and IRS regulations in all accounting deliverables. * Provide training and guidance to team members on software tools such as QuickBooks Online (QBO), QuickBooks Desktop (QBD), Xero, Sage, Bill.com, and Zoho Books. * Coordinate with internal and client stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, address queries, and implement best practices. * Identify areas for process improvement and lead automation/optimization initiatives Required Education & Experience Required Educational Qualification B. Com /M. Com / CA Inter / MBA (Finance/Accounting) / CPA / EA or equivalent. Experience Minimum 3-5 Years Experience in US Accounting, preferably in a Team Lead or supervisory role . Technical Skills: * Strong expertise in US-specific accounting processes including 1099 preparation, W-2 reporting, and payroll filings. * Solid understanding of asset schedules, depreciation schedules, and sales tax filings. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis. Soft Skills: * Excellent leadership and team management abilities. * Strong communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. * Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines Software Knowledge QuickBooks / Xero / Sage / NetSuite/Bill.Com Job Type : Full-time Job Location : Mohali Schedule : Day Shift (IST) / Evening shift (aligned with EST/US Time Zone).
