Job Description

We Are looking for a team for one of our clients renowned name in engineering/fabrication. The Job Location is Mangaluru, Karnataka. Interview for the positions will be organised in Chennai on dated 6th April 2025 Between 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities: Shift Supervision: Oversee the production and operations on the shop floor during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient manufacturing processes. Team Coordination: Lead, guide, and motivate a team of technicians, machine operators, and assembly staff to achieve production targets. Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting support to resolve technical issues with equipment, machinery, and production processes, ensuring minimal downtime. Quality Control: Monitor and enforce quality standards in the fabrication process, ensuring that products meet required specifications and safety standards. Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization and cost reduction, implementing improvements to enhance production efficiency and product quality. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate shift reports, equipment maintenance logs, and production records. Provide timely feedback and updates to the senior management team. Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulations in the shop, promoting a safe working environment for the team. Training: Conduct training sessions for new team members and continuously upgrade the skills of existing staff on new technologies, processes, and safety measures. Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate regular maintenance schedules for machines and tools to ensure minimal disruption to production timelines. Technical Abilities & Other Requirements: Mechanical & Fabrication Knowledge: Strong understanding of modular fabrication techniques, welding, machining, and assembly processes. Hands-on experience in fabrication of modules and structures. Technical Drawing Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to guide the fabrication process. Problem-Solving Skills: Adept at quickly identifying issues in production processes and implementing effective solutions. Software Skills: Familiarity with basic software tools such as MS Excel, AutoCAD (or similar CAD tools), and ERP systems. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising between teams, management, and clients. Shift Management: Comfortable with managing shifts and ensuring that production goals are met consistently during off-hours, weekends, or holidays. Safety Awareness: Strong knowledge of safety standards in industrial environments, with the ability to enforce these protocols on the floor. Leadership: Ability to lead a diverse team, delegating tasks, and fostering a cooperative environment in a high-pressure, fast-paced setting. Key Success Factors: Efficiency: Consistently achieving production targets while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Problem Resolution: Effective and quick resolution of any technical issues, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a smooth workflow.
