Role Overview We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Tech Lead (Java) to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment and wants to drive the architecture, design, and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performance microservices in the payments domain . We are looking for immediate joiners. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of scalable and robust Java-based microservices Drive technical excellence and mentor a team of backend engineers Own end-to-end delivery including design, implementation, DevOps, and production support Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality features on time Ensure high standards of code quality, testability, scalability, and security Contribute to and enforce best practices across architecture, DevOps, and agile development Troubleshoot performance and scalability issues and provide root cause analysis Manage integrations with external banking/payment systems via APIs and SDKs Required Skills & Experience 5–10 years of hands-on backend development experience using Java (Spring Boot) Strong experience in building and deploying microservices architectures Proficiency with AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.) Good exposure to DevOps practices : CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab CI), Docker, Kubernetes Solid understanding of REST APIs, API security, and third-party integrations Experience working in the payments or fintech domain – familiarity with transaction processing, UPI, cards, PGs, or wallets Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, or MongoDB Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, etc.) Ability to lead code reviews, guide developers, and set architectural direction Nice to Have Exposure to Kafka or other event-driven systems Knowledge of security standards (e.g., PCI-DSS) in the financial domain Experience in managing or mentoring a small team Show more Show less
