Role & responsibilities Lead the technical team responsible for solar projects in Africa. Provide technical experVse in the planning, design, and implementaVon of solar and hybrid solar projects. Oversee engineering, procurement, and construcVon acVviVes to ensure adherence to technical specificaVons and standards. Feasibility studies of sites, project management, execuVon, operaVons & maintenance. Technical due diligence, PG test, and performance analysis of projects. Tender cosVng and budgeVng, standard v/s actual budget comparison, variance analysis & providing effecVve feedback for improving the system. Develop innovaVve soluVons to opVmize project performance and efficiency. Conduct technical evaluaVons of potenVal project sites and provide recommendaVons. Collaborate with project managers to address technical challenges and ensure project success. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring opVmal resource allocaVon. Coordinate with the clients to understand their requirements and specificaVons. Stay updated with the latest solar technologies and industry best pracVces. Mentor and train technical staff to enhance their skills and capabiliVes. Preferred candidate profile Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the solar energy sector, with a focus on large-scale projects. Deep understanding of solar energy systems, including design, installaVon, and maintenance. Proven track record of successfully leading technical teams and delivering complex projects. Strong analyVcal and problem-solving skills. Excellent communicaVon and interpersonal skills.
