Job Description for IT Helper Assist in configuring IP cameras with proper static or dynamic IP addresses. Help integrate DVR/NVR systems into the Local Area Network (LAN) . Connect CCTV devices to network switches and routers . Support in setting up remote viewing through mobile apps or PCs via port forwarding and proper firewall configuration. Troubleshoot network connectivity issues affecting camera feeds or system access. Check and maintain network cables , including Ethernet (Cat5e/Cat6) for IP cameras. Understand and apply basic concepts of TCP/IP, DHCP, static IPs , and PoE (Power over Ethernet) . Assist in testing network speed and reliability to ensure real-time video streaming and recording. Collaborate with IT/networking teams to ensure network security for CCTV systems. Document network configurations and changes for future maintenance and upgrades.
