Position Overview As a Techno Sales Engineer , you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end technical sales cycle —from understanding customer needs and designing automation solutions to preparing proposals, conducting demos, and offering pre-sales technical support. You will be working closely with clients, consultants, architects, vendors, and internal teams to ensure solutions are aligned with client expectations and project requirements. Roles & ResponsibilitiesA. Sales Responsibilities 1. Technical Consultation Understand client needs in home/office automation. Recommend suitable systems and products with support from the technical team. 2. Solution Design & Proposal Design customized solutions covering lighting, HVAC, security, and IoT-based systems. Prepare BOQ, pricing, and proposals for tenders or project submissions. 3. Client Interactions Conduct product demonstrations for clients, consultants, and partners. Present and explain system features, use-cases, and benefits. 4. Requirement Analysis Collaborate with clients and internal teams to finalize system requirements and specifications. Define clear scopes and documentation for execution teams. 5. Vendor & Supplier Coordination Coordinate with vendors/suppliers for product selection, pricing, and availability. 6. Sales Support Support the sales team during negotiations with technical inputs. Provide regular reports and updates to management and clients. Desired Skills & Qualifications1. Technical Skills Proficient in electrical components and systems: wiring, relays, sensors. Basic understanding of smart automation systems (lighting, security, HVAC). Familiarity with communication protocols like Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, KNX is an added advantage. Ability to design, troubleshoot, and support smart automation systems. 2. Soft Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Educational Qualifications Diploma or ITI in Electrical / Electronics. Network communication domain knowledge. Additional certifications in smart home platforms like KNX, Control4, Crestron, or Lutron are a plus. Experience & Competencies Knowledge of techno-commercial aspects in the electrical/electronics domain. Experience in customer-facing roles and handling solution-based sales. Capability to manage relationships with dealers, consultants, and contractors. Ability to build tailored proposals and deliver strong customer support throughout the sales cycle.
