In this role, you will mentor a small, skilled group of developers and specialists, deliver robust and scalable solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring our ambitious vision to life. What You’ll Be Doing Team Leadership & Management Manage and support a professional team consisting of 3 Backend Engineers, 1 DevOps Engineer, 2 QA Specialists, 3 FrontEnd Engineers Provide technical leadership, performance feedback, and career development. Partner with Product Owners and key stakeholders to ensure cohesive delivery. Translate strategic priorities into day-to-day plans and delegate effectively. Technical Problem Solving Identify and resolve complex technical, operational, and organisational challenges. Make decisions guided by policies, resource planning, and strategic objectives. Influence the wider team by promoting engineering best practices. Key Skills & Experience Proven experience managing professional software development teams. Strong backend development experience (ideally in Java, Python, Node.js, or similar stacks). Strong frontend development experience in React.j s & Java script Familiarity with DevOps practices, QA methodologies and microservices focused infrastructure Track record of delivering high-quality software on time and within scope. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—able to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience in project/resource planning and contributing to organizational objectives. Experience with Tailwind CSS, Contentful CMS and Atlassian tools is a nice to have Strategic Contribution Be accountable for the performance and results of the backend team. Collaborate with senior leaders on budgeting, resource allocation, and timelines. Stakeholder Engagement Act as a bridge between senior leadership and technical staff. Guide, influence, and persuade cross-functional stakeholders. Represent backend engineering in cross-departmental planning and initiatives.
