Job Description

A Tender Manager with 5 years of experience in the solar industry would be responsible for managing all aspects of the tender process, from searching for opportunities to submitting bids and managing post-award activities. This role involves translating government schemes into RFQ/RFP, preparing qualifying requirements, and ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines. Key responsibilities include tender search, document preparation, bid evaluation, negotiation, and maintaining a repository of bid-related information. Key Responsibilities: Tender Search and Analysis: Identifying and researching potential tender opportunities from various sources (online portals, newspapers, etc.). Bid Preparation and Submission: Preparing accurate, competitive, and compliant bid documents, ensuring adherence to deadlines and guidelines. Tender Evaluation: Analyzing competitor bids, evaluating proposals, and negotiating with bidders. Contract Management: Managing contractual and commercial matters, including post-award issues and handling disputes. Documentation and Compliance: Maintaining a comprehensive record of bid-related communications and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Stakeholder Management: Collaborating with internal teams (finance, technical, legal) and external consultants. Market Intelligence: Monitoring competitors, tracking bid pricing trends, and identifying market opportunities. Skills and Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in tender management, preferably in the renewable energy or solar industry. Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial and technical aspects of solar power projects. Technical Skills: Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite and project management software. Soft Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Other: Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects. Additional Responsibilities: May involve coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. May be responsible for managing post-bid compliance activities, including LOA conditions. May need to handle disputes and claims.
