Job Description

The Solar Tender Manager/Executive is responsible for managing theend-to-end process of tendering for solar energy projects. This includesidentifying opportunities, preparing and submitting proposals, and ensuring compliancewith technical and commercial requirements. The role requires closecollaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement,and legal departments. Key Responsibilities: - Tender Identification andAnalysis Monitor and identify relevant solar tender opportunities from government, private, and international organizations. Analyze tender documents to understand project scope, requirements, and evaluation criteria. Proposal Preparation Coordinate with engineering and design teams to develop technical proposals. Collaborate with the finance team to prepare cost estimates and financial models. Ensure all documents are complete, accurate, and submitted within deadlines. Stakeholder Coordination Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to clarify requirements and obtain approvals. Manage pre-bid meetings and site visits as required. Compliance and Risk Management Ensure that proposals meet all legal, regulatory, and quality standards. Identify potential risks in bids and propose mitigation strategies. Post-Tender Activities Respond to client queries during the evaluation process. Negotiate contracts and terms with clients upon successful bid selection. Reporting and Documentation Maintain records of submitted tenders, outcomes, and lessons learned. Prepare regular reports on tender activities and market trends. Qualifications and Skills :- Education Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical preferred), Business, or a related field. Masterdegree or certifications in renewable energy is a plus. Experience 2-5 years of experience in tendering, proposal management, or project management within the renewable energy sector, preferably solar. Technical Skills Strong understanding of solar PV systems, components, and project lifecycle. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with project management and design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst, Zoho).
