About the Role Leap Metrics is looking for a Manual Test Engineer Note: This position is full-time, hybrid, and located in Hyderabad, India. We are looking for someone who can distill user stories and workflows into intuitive test scripts to ensure the reliability of the Sevida platform around complicated workflows. As a test automation engineer at Leap Metrics, you have a strong manual testing background and a good understanding of APIs, UI, JavaScript, and databases. You are a talented, passionate, self-driven, independent, and efficient quality engineer with strong analytical skills. You easily collaborate with colleagues, welcome feedback, and unite cross-functional teams around a shared vision. You can work in an Agile product development environment that is cross-functional and highly collaborative, where you will have a direct impact on the customer's experience of our products. Responsibilities Work with Product Management team to understand user stories Write test specifications Build test automation scripts using JavaScript and Cypress Manual Application testing Experience in working with JIRA or similar ticketing system Compiling and reporting QA metrics Manage test automation You will use your creativity and technical knowledge to develop test scripts to ensure application reliability. Qualifications Test Planning: 2 years (preferred) Manual Testing: 2 years (Preferred) Cypress: 2 years (Preferred) Required Skills Hands-on coding experience in UI automation: tests and an eye for debugging Ability to research, identify and solve technical issues across the full technology stack by using automated & manual testing methodologies Experience translating product requirements into test cases Knowledge of the tools of the trade like Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber, and JUnit Background in data testing a plus Experience with cross-browser and device testing of web applications Experience with integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines a plus Strong communication and collaboration skills with an eagerness to improve product quality Experience creating test plan strategy Ability to adapt and pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment Flexibility and decisiveness- you put ego aside, focus on the needs of the project or task at hand, and can receive and implement feedback Familiarity with and curiosity about design systems Willingness to help build out a library of reusable components and UI conventions Passion for innovation Ability to work in a startup environment Preferred Skills Experience with cross-browser and device testing of web applications Experience with integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines a plus Equal Opportunity Statement We are committed to diversity and inclusivity.
