Description - External Objective Seeking a skilled software tester with 3+ years of experience to take responsibility for testing and validating file system components. The role involves ensuring the performance, reliability, and integrity of file systems across multiple platforms. Required Skills (Must Have): Extensive hands-on experience with the Windows Operating System. In-depth knowledge of file systems and their operations within the Windows environment, including system calls, file handling, and metadata management. ¢ Experience testing file system functions, including file creation, deletion, reading, writing, and renaming, under normal and abnormal conditions. ¢ Evaluating file system performance under high-stress conditions. Testing file system limits(file size, count, volume) ¢ Ensuring file system data integrity, particularly during system crashes or power failures. ¢ Testing file system recovery mechanisms after unexpected shutdowns, crashes, or data corruption. ¢ Proficiency in using PowerShell scripts for automating file system tests, managing files, volumes, and directories, and monitoring system events. ¢ Expertise in log analysis for detecting file system errors, warnings, and critical events. ¢ Experience monitoring system resources (CPU, RAM, disk I/O, network usage) during file operations. ¢ Familiarity with diagnostic tools like Process Explorer, ProcMon, DiskMon, and DiskView to troubleshoot and analyze file system behaviors. ¢ Expertise in testing REST APIs using Postman and Swagger UI. ¢ Good to have experience working with Azure Cloud platforms, including deployment and management of virtual machines, storage solutions, and networking components in cloud environments. ¢ Good to have understanding of Azure cloud components like Azure Storage, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Networking, and Azure Monitor. ¢ Ability to integrate file system testing in cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity in distributed and cloud-based file systems. ¢ Solid documentation skills for test cases, test results, bug reporting, and system behavior. ¢ Proven ability to reproduce defects based on limited user/client information. ¢ Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
