Job Summary: A Head Barista and Curator will lead beverage operations with a focus on innovation, excellence, and team development. This role is responsible for the full spectrum of beverage operations, from coffee and mocktail mixology to team hiring, training, product development, and beverage curation. Should have a deep passion for beverages, be a trend- spotter, and bring cutting-edge creativity to our offerings while maintaining strong operational and cost management skills. Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership: • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the coffee and beverage department across all outlets. • Ensure consistency and quality in all beverage offerings, both hot and cold. • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction. Team Management & Training: • Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team of baristas and beverage staff. • Conduct regular training sessions on coffee brewing, latte art, mocktail mixology, and service excellence. • Inspire and mentor team members to foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning. Beverage Curation & Product Development: • Design and curate a unique, trend-forward beverage menu, including coffee, tea, mocktails, smoothies, and other non-alcoholic drinks. • Lead the development of seasonal and signature beverage items. • Stay ahead of global beverage trends and incorporate them into menu innovation. Mixology & Coffee Excellence: • Drive excellence in specialty coffee preparation, including brewing methods, espresso-based drinks, and latte art. • Innovate and develop sophisticated, health-conscious, and aesthetically pleasing mocktails. • Ensure beverage presentation aligns with brand standards and enhances guest experience. Cost Control & Inventory Management: • Develop and manage beverage costings and margins. • Monitor and coordinate with the purchase department to manage stock levels, purchasing, and supplier relations. • Analyse sales data to optimize menu offerings and reduce waste. Guest Experience & Brand Representation: • Work closely with the marketing team to promote new launches and beverage campaigns. • Champion beverage excellence in customer interactions and events. • Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows, and competitions when applicable. Qualifications & Skills: • 8+ years of experience in specialty coffee, mixology, or beverage management, including leadership roles. • Certified Barista Trainer or equivalent credentials in coffee/mixology is a plus. • Deep knowledge of Equipment and coffee from bean to cup, brewing techniques, and third-wave coffee culture. • Creative flair for flavour pairings, beverage trends, and presentation. • Strong organizational and leadership skills. • Proficient in cost control, inventory, and training processes. • Passionate, energetic, and driven by innovation. Desirable Traits: • Curious and always ahead of the curve in beverage trends. • Strong aesthetic sense and attention to detail. • Ability to balance creativity with operational efficiency. • Excellent communicator and team motivator.
