This position is responsible for database operational day to day tasks, as well as the maintenance and health check of databases supporting our Cloud application.This role will work closely with the DBAs, development, and infrastructure teams to maintain and administer databases to provide and enforce contractual SLAs.- Expert in Installation / upgrade / maintenance and Administration on MSSQL 2012 - 2022.- Disaster Recovery Planning and Implementation- Should be able to resolve basic issues like login failure, backup failure, blocking, high CPU and high memory etc.- Experience on Powershell scripting is a plus- Experience on various HA and DR solutions (Log-shipping, Always-on)- Thorough knowledge of database security best practices- Experience with Implementation in a Cloud Environment ideal- Expert in performance analysis and resolution- Knowledge of Planning and Implementing (scripting) backup strategies.- Cloud SaaS (multi-tenant) environment experience preferred- Knowledge of Integration with 3rd party Monitoring Systems- Familiarity with Virtual Machine (or Docker) technology a plus- Should be able to configure and modify alert at SPLUNK- Should be able to create dashboards at Grafana- Excellent written and verbal skills- Expert in problem solving, planning, organization, and documentation- Ability to excel in a cohesive team environment- Experience with JDBC connection pools preferred- Well versed with ITSM best practices- Communicates effectively to both technical and non-technical individuals at various levels of customer and internal organizations.- Uses consultative techniques and skills in their services delivery.- Works as a member of a 24 x 7 team.Good to have- Exposure to Cloud (GCP), CloudSQL and NoSQL.The successful applicant will demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. They will possess strong consultative abilities and communication skills which they will leverage to tie their technical recommendations to business benefits and process change. After initial training they normally require little instruction on their day-to-day work.B.E./ B.Tech/ MCA or Regular PG in Computer Science.Around 3-5 years of experience as a MSSQL DBA with an experience of supporting Cloud customer facing production environments.
