The ideal candidate will have 8 - 15 years of hands-on experience in checking process equipment drawings, with expertise in heat exchangers, reactors, pressure vessels, storage tanks and other related equipment. This role demands a keen eye for detail, excellent knowledge of industry standards, and the ability to work in collaboration with both internal teams and external clients.The primary responsibility of the Sr. Design Engineer cum Checker will be to ensure the accuracy, quality, and compliance of design drawings, while maintaining timely submission to meet project deadlines.Key Responsibilities:Drawing Checking & Review:Thoroughly review and check process equipment design drawings (heat exchangers, reactors, pressure vessels, storage tanks etc.) for accuracy, compliance with industry standards, and adherence to project specifications.Ensure that all designs conform to relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards, with a focus on precision and functionality.Verify dimensions, material specifications, and design integrity to prevent errors during the manufacturing process.Provide feedback to design teams on necessary revisions or improvements.Client Communication:Maintain clear and effective communication with clients to understand project requirements and expectations.Address client queries and concerns promptly, ensuring their needs are met throughout the design and checking process.Collaborate with clients to implement any requested design changes and ensure all drawings meet their specifications.Timely Submission & Documentation:Review and approve final design drawings for submission to clients, ensuring they are submitted within the agreed timelines.Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping of all design review processes and client communications for future reference.Team Collaboration & Support:Collaborate with other design engineers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and checkers, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.Offer technical support and solutions to the design team during the development of complex drawings.Required Skills & Qualifications:Experience:8-12 years of professional experience in checking design drawings, specifically for process equipment.Hands-on experience in reviewing and checking detailed drawings for heat exchangers, reactors, pressure vessels, storage tanks and other relevant equipment.Technical Expertise:Strong understanding of process equipment design principles and industry-specific standards (ASME, API, ASHRAE, etc.).Proficiency in using industry-standard design software (AutoCAD, PV lite, SolidWorks, etc.).Expertise in reviewing drawings for material specifications, dimensional accuracy, and design compliance.Attention to Detail:Exceptional attention to detail in verifying design accuracy and compliance with project requirements.Ability to identify and correct design discrepancies and errors before final approval.Communication Skills:Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, design teams, and project managers.Proficient in preparing clear, concise reports and documentation.Educational Background:Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.Professional certifications or training in design engineering and quality assurance are a plus.Preferred Qualifications:In-depth knowledge of international design codes and standards related to process and rotary equipment.Previous experience working with clients in the chemical, oil & gas, or paint industries.Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers and design teams.Why Join Us?Collaborative Environment: Work with a talented team of engineers and designers in a supportive and innovative work culture.Career Growth: Opportunities for professional development and career progression.Competitive Salary & Benefits: Attractive compensation package along with health, retirement, and other benefits.If you are an experienced Design Engineer with a passion for accuracy, industry compliance, and ensuring high-quality design, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity!
