Role and Facility Information Join a diverse group of Specialists and Family Practitioners in Terrace - a teaching site for UBC Medicine, three Primary Care clinics, outstanding specialists support and services. We are looking for a second Urologist to provide services at the Mills Memorial Hospital. There is ample OR time as well as Cystoscopy time. Surround yourself by the stunning coastal mountain range and lush ancient rainforest just minutes away from the Pacific Ocean. Enjoy the mild winters, back and cross country skiing, heli-skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, indoor and outdoor skating, ice-fishing and an evening soak in the local hot springs. Keep an eye out for a rare white Kermode or “spirit” bear. There are three secondary and six elementary schools, one long-distance education and one French emersion, a Northwest Community College campus and a University of British Columbia campus. The site is a fully accredited 44 bed, acute care facility, with an average of 24,700 ER visits per year. The state of the art, 560 million dollar New Mills Memorial Hospital will be completed by the end of 2024 affording expanded logistics, space and integrated trauma and elective service delivery potential. Request Info Terms Compensation Compensation Type Fee-for-Service Estimated Remuneration 400,000+ Benefits and Incentives Vacation Leave 6-8 weeks annually including CME education leave May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including: Retention Premium 18.48% Retention Flat Fee $28,045 Relocation Funding Available $9,000-15,000 Recruitment Incentive $20,000 Other Benefits/Incentives Rural Continuing Medical Education (RCME) available: Up to 2 years $1,800; In 3rd & 4th year $4,800; after 4 years $7,800. Relocation funding available: $15,000 if relocating from outside of Canada; $12,000 if relocating within Canada but outside of BC; $9,000 if relocating within BC.
