We have an opportunity for a "US Payroll Specialist - Night Shift - International Business" in Ahmedabad (Gujarat). Bond: 3Years Shift: Night Shift Job Title: US Payroll Location: Ahmedabad- Corporate Office, Gujarat Reports To: Vice President- HR Job Summary: The US Payroll person will manage and process end-to-end payroll for employees across multiple states, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. The role will involve coordinating with internal teams, handling payroll discrepancies, tax filings, and maintaining the confidentiality of employee payroll data. Key Responsibilities: Manage the preparation and processing of multi-state specifically for US payroll for employees, ensuring accurate and timely payment. Maintain and update payroll records, including employee changes, new hires, terminations, and wage adjustments etc. Ensure compliance with US federal, state, and local tax laws, including calculating and processing payroll taxes (federal, state, local income taxes, Social Security, and Medicare). Keep up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and ensure proper incorporation into payroll systems. Prepare and distribute payroll reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Conduct periodic audits and reconciliations of payroll data to ensure compliance with legal and company policies. Support year-end audits by gathering and organizing payroll-related information for reporting to the IRS and other relevant authorities. Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding payroll-related queries, including wage discrepancies, tax questions, and benefits enrollment. Address payroll concerns promptly and maintain a high level of customer service for employees. Maintain and update payroll information in HRIS/payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday, etc.). Suggest process improvements for payroll efficiency and accuracy, including opportunities for automation and streamlining workflows. Ensure strict confidentiality of all payroll and employee information. Maintain knowledge of all federal, state, and local employment laws, ensuring company compliance. Ensure proper handling of payroll-related documentation and records in line with company policies and regulatory requirements. Assist with the preparation of compensation reports, including bonus and incentive calculations. Handle ad-hoc payroll requests and assignments as needed. Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in payroll processing (US payroll, multi-state preferred). Strong knowledge of US payroll tax regulations (federal, state, and local). Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday, QuickBooks, or similar software). Ability to process payroll data accurately and efficiently while maintaining confidentiality. Effective communication skills to handle employee inquiries and report issues. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field. Payroll certification (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional, CPP) is a plus.
