Role Overview: We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Vendor Development Executive to strengthen our supply chain and vendor ecosystem. The candidate will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and managing vendors for components, raw materials, fabrication, assembly parts, and services essential to our manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities: Identify and evaluate vendors for EV components such as chassis, battery packs, motors, controllers, suspension systems, wiring harnesses, body panels, and accessories. Source new suppliers to improve cost efficiency, quality, and production timelines. Negotiate prices, contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors. Ensure vendors meet quality standards, certifications (ISO/IATF), and compliance requirements. Collaborate with R&D and Production teams to support product development and prototyping with the right vendor base. Manage supplier onboarding, performance tracking, and periodic audits. Maintain a centralized vendor database with updated documentation. Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, and finance for smooth procurement and invoicing. Monitor market trends and supplier innovation to support continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 2–5 years of experience in vendor development or supply chain in automotive or EV manufacturing. Strong understanding of vehicle parts, manufacturing processes, and supplier quality. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Experience with sourcing from local and national suppliers. Knowledge of cost structures, compliance norms, and quality control procedures. Show more Show less
