Job Title: Head of Sales & Operations:Position Summary:The Head of Sales & Operations is responsible for driving revenue growth, overseeing park operations, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and delivering an exceptional guest experience at VGP Universal Kingdom. This role demands a strategic and hands-on approach to managing P&L, optimizing sales and marketing efforts, ensuring operational excellence, and leading a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial acumen, leadership skills, and a customer-centric approach. Key Responsibilities:Revenue & Sales Strategy:Lead the overall P&L, driving revenue growth and cost optimization.Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy across business segments (corporate, leisure, MICE, events, group bookings).Identify and explore new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets to maximize revenue.Collaborate with revenue management and marketing teams to optimize pricing, promotions, and packages.Drive cross-selling opportunities to enhance customer value.Operations Management:Oversee daily park operations, ensuring seamless execution across rides, attractions, F&B outlets, and retail shops.Ensure staff scheduling is optimized for peak traffic while controlling costs.Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and enhance reliability.Ensure strict compliance with legal, safety, and environmental regulations.Develop and implement contingency plans for emergencies and train staff for crisis management.Guest Experience and Brand Enhancement:Design and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction (NPS) and the overall park experience.Plan engaging attractions, seasonal festivals, live performances, and events catering to diverse demographics.Utilize guest feedback and market trends to drive continuous improvements in offerings and services.Implement best practices to reduce bottlenecks at key guest touchpoints like ticketing, rides, and dining.Monitor industry trends and the competitive landscape to ensure VGP remains a market leader.Statutory Compliance and Licensing:Ensure all statutory compliances related to amusement park operations are met, including labor laws, safety standards, and environmental regulations.Obtain and renew necessary licenses and permits, such as amusement park licenses, fire safety clearances, pollution control board approvals, and F&B permits.Liaise with local authorities to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.Maintain accurate documentation for audits and inspections by government agencies.Team Leadership & Development:Lead and develop a high-performing team through training, performance management, and professional growth initiatives.Foster a culture of safety, excellence, and innovation.Oversee recruitment, training, and HR processes to maintain a motivated and efficient workforce.Set clear goals, KPIs, and accountability measures to drive performance.Stakeholder & Client Relationship Management:Establish and maintain relationships with key clients, corporate partners, and government authorities.Represent VGP at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance brand presence.Liaise with vendors, contractors, and external partners to ensure high-quality service delivery.Ideal Candidate Profile:Minimum 10+ years of experience in operations and sales within the hospitality, entertainment, or amusement industry.Proven track record of managing a large P&L, driving revenue, and improving the guest experience.Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and manage high-performing teams.Proficiency in revenue management, budgeting, and financial analysis.Experience in sales and marketing with a focus on increasing footfall and per-capita spending.Knowledge of local authorities, regulatory requirements, and legal compliance (mandatory).Fluent in Tamil and English with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Strong problem-solving ability, able to perform under high-pressure situations.If you are a dynamic leader ready to take charge and elevate the VGP experience, apply now and be a part of the excitement!
