We re seeking a future team member for the role Vice President, Back-End Engineer I to join our Compliance Engineering. This role is in Pune, MH. In this role, you ll make an impact in the following ways: Develop and manage sophisticated data pipelines that supply data for governing financial crime compliance processes. Design and sustain intricate data models that are efficient in both storage and distribution. Ensure high-quality data through the implementation of rigorous data quality checks. Optimize both on-premises and cloud computing resources needed for data processing and storage. Construct and maintain a modern data platform that enables the firm to effectively counteract activities such as money laundering and fraud. To be successful in this role, we re seeking the following: 8-12 years of experience in data engineering and data modeling Proficient knowledge in SQL and Python programming languages Experience in developing data pipelines using PySpark, with strong knowledge in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, and Impala Advanced technical expertise in using Snowflake cloud databases and developing pipelines with Snowpark Extensive knowledge of orchestration frameworks like Airflow Experience in BI report development is an added advantage Domain knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering, sanctions screening, and surveillance is preferred At BNY, our culture speaks for itself.
