Job Description

Area of Responsibility: Responsible for Proto activities that involve schematic creation, Layout Design, Wire and Connector selection. Responsible for Switches, Sensors, Fuse box, Relays Participate in competitor analysis activity transferring best design practices. Responsible for Schematic, BOM finalization, DFMEA and layout development of the product. Monitors technological trends through comparisons from different vendors and supporting product marketing analysis. Must have handled simple to complex wire Harness design and development. Conduct cross function reviews and make decisions considering cost, quality and time impact. Should drive VAVE activities for continual improvements and define road map Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Understanding of wire harness architecture and creation. Responsible for implementation of critical requirements (Features and safety requirements) is harness schematics. Support the internal team for vehicle Integration and quality issues. Must have 2-3 years of team handling and hiring skills. Basic understanding of AIS regulations, EMI/EMC requirements, Crimping, Wire Hauge requirements for HV cables, IP67. Must have experience of CATIA, Auto-CAD and other schematic simulation tools. CAD packaging of components meeting best practices Proto trials, design changes and related documentation updates. Basic Understanding of CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI signal related requirements in Wire Harness schematics. Need to estimate risk associated with new design and develop mitigation plan. Should be aware about different quality analysis tools for analysis. Develop rigs and fixture to test wire Harness and its complete integration during development and to verify and changes Collaborate as part of CFTs for seamless integration of electrical systems. Extensive collaboration across departments for day-to-day task, process control, schedule monitoring and assignment reviews. Root cause analysis countermeasure study of various assembly aftermarket issues. Creating engineering BOMs and managing changes regularization through change notice Benchmarking and following global trends to identify implement potential kaizens. Support in sourcing strategy preparation and RRFQ drawings creation to enable competitive bidding Review engineering BOMs and prepare engineering cost estimate to evaluate proposals and their implementation feasibility.
