Wordpress Developer ( Backend)

Job Description

Responsibilities: - Design and implement new features and functionality for WordPress websites. - Customize themes and plugins according to client requirements. - Develop and maintain WordPress-based websites using the latest technologies and best practices. - Collaborate with designers and other developers to ensure the best possible user experience. - Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO. - Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in existing WordPress websites. - Customize and extend existing themes and plugins. - Ensure WordPress sites are secure and up-to-date. - Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. - Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices. - Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency. - Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in WordPress development. Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (equivalent work experience will also be considered). - Proficient in PHP programming language. - Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development/customization. - Good understanding of front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery. - Experience building responsive and mobile-friendly websites. - Familiarity with MySQL database management. - Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git). - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - A passion for web development and a strong desire to continually learn and grow as a developer. Preferred Skills: - Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce). - Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services. - Understanding of SEO principles and best practices. - Knowledge of website security best practices. - Experience with other CMS platforms is a plus (e.g., Drupal, Joomla). - Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js)
