Location: Pune (home working to start with; potentially office hybrid in the future) Hours: 10.30 19.30 IST Salary: 4-7 Lakhs per annum (depending on experience) plus discretionary bonus Reporting to: Marketing Manager, Ignite Were looking for a passionate and motivated WordPress Developer to join our dynamic recruitment group. Role Description: Design, implement, and maintain high-quality websites using WordPress & Elementor, working alongside the marketing, people development and leadership teams. Ensure website performance, responsiveness, and user-friendliness across devices. Design and manage the website back-end including database, spreadsheet and email integration. Develop the websites to optimise SEO. Develop our interactive development platform, intranet and information hub which is a critical business tool to ensure delivery excellence across the business. Support the wider Marketing team on analysing website performance and implementing identified improvements. Ensure content is kept up-to-date, working with subject matter experts for input in a timely manner. Generate WordPress themes and plugins. Troubleshoot content issues. Competencies and Experience: Mandatory Proficiency in WordPress theme and plugin development. Ability to convert design mock-ups into functional WordPress sites. Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility. Familiarity with web standards, SEO, and accessibility principles. Strong understanding of UX and its application. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Confident speaking up to and working alongside senior members of the team, asking for clarification and help, and putting forward ideas. Quick adaptation to new technologies. Excellent written and spoken English. Enjoys working to deadlines and delivering high quality work quickly. 2-5 years of WordPress development experience. Demonstrable portfolio in custom theme and plugin development. Troubleshooting and debugging skills within WordPress sites. Knowledge of WordPress security best practices. Desirable Knowledge of front-end technologies including PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS and jQuery. Experience in a recruitment business or other sales-driven environment. Basic graphic design skills for creating custom assets.
