Key Points about our client Over 17 years old Integrated with the leading cloud communication platforms like Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex calling, Cisco Broadworks to name a few Established partnerships with over 600 telecom and IT providers worldwide, deploying its solutions to more than 10,000 customer sites across various sectors. They are looking to make a full time hire for a long term position. Location: Permanent Remote Work from Home in India Minimum Experience: 3+ years Shift Timings: 12pm - 9:30pm (Summer), 1pm - 10:30pm (Winter) Role and responsibilities Development of Assigned Requirements Write, test, and maintain high-quality Java code based on business needs. Actively Participate in Technical Design & Refinement Sessions Contribute to solution discussions and ensure clarity in requirements. Peer Code Reviews – Maintain coding best practices and ensure maintainability, security, and performance of the codebase. Prepare Technical Documentation – Document key decisions, architecture, and implementation details as needed. Code Version Control (Bitbucket/Git) – Follow best practices for branching, merging, and resolving conflicts. Attend Daily Standups & Weekly Check-ins – Engage in Agile ceremonies, provide progress updates, and address blockers. Essential skills and experience Core Java (2+ years) – Strong expertise in core Java (collections, multi-threading, SOLID principles, concurrency, memory management). Software Development Best Practices – Strong understanding of clean code principles, unit testing, and performance optimization. Problem-Solving & Debugging – Ability to analyze complex technical challenges, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. API Development & Integration – Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs. Database Basics – Understanding of database connections, SQL, and data modeling. Good communication Experience of working with other remote teams Reliability Desired Experience and Skills Cloud Fundamentals (AWS/Azure) – Familiarity with cloud-based services, but deep expertise is not required. Microservices Architecture (Basic Understanding) – Experience working in a modular service-based system. Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes, optional) – Some exposure to containerized environments is beneficial. Networking & Messaging Systems – Knowledge of API design, messaging queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.), and integration patterns.
